Rocca Monaldeschi

Built between the 12th and 14th centuries by the lords of Orvieto, this imposing fortress dominates the medieval quarter of Bolsena. It now houses the Territorial Museum of Lake Bolsena, which documents the area’s history from its volcanic origins to the medieval period. The castle’s ramparts offer an unparalleled panoramic view of the lake and the route ahead toward Rome.
