Via Francigena· Stage Vetralla → Sutri
Consecrated in 1207, this cathedral features a striking Romanesque bell tower and a precious 8th-century Lombard crypt with twenty ancient columns. Pilgrims visit to see the Byzantine-style panel of Christ and to reflect in one of the most historic bishoprics on the Via Francigena. The site marks the location of the famous Donation of Sutri, which helped establish the Papal States.
