This archaeological site contains 64 tombs carved directly into the tuff cliffs, representing a transition from Etruscan to Roman burial traditions. The adjacent church of Santa Maria del Parto is a highlight for pilgrims, as it was originally a pagan Mithraeum before being converted into a Christian sanctuary. It features beautiful medieval frescoes depicting the life of Christ and the Virgin Mary.
