Stage
Ease of walking: Flat plain walking on minor roads and urban streets; generally easy and well waymarked near the town.
This stage follows well-trodden routes across the plain to reach Fidenza, where the imposing cathedral stands along the pilgrim path. The town is an established Via Francigena stop with historical pilgrim infrastructure and easy urban access.
Open agricultural plains with occasional tree lines and the approach to the town’s medieval structures.
